Xenon Retrofit Kit - Is this real?
In my quest to find a Xenon lighting solution for my 2013 3 series with factory halogen, I ran across this kit. Does anyone have any experience with this product? This is the first complete upgrade to the existing non-Xenon headlights that I have seen. The OEM headlight replacement scenario is well north of $2000, while this kit is $175.

I wondered about that, definitely do not want the bluish crap. But is Xenon and HID the same thing? They say that these are Xenon, just not sure of the difference.

I successfully equipped my previous f30 with Xenons using the H7R bulbs. The R signifies "reflector" for vehicles that came with xenons from the factory that did not have projectors. The bulbs have a shield coating over part of them to cut down on glare. I never got flashed by other drivers while I had these

HID's installed in a halogen housing are generally blinding to oncoming drivers because they are not leveled correctly. They also tend to get super hot and can damage plastic housings without the glass projector. They are also not DOT approved and can get you ticketed. If you want HID's do a xenon retrofit.
