New F34 owner looking for feedback on winter rims

Hello All,
I just recently got back into a Bimmer after a hiatus for a few years.
You don’t realize how much you miss it until you get back into one.

I’m trying to prep for the cold winters in eastern Canada.
I picked up a set of mint 2014 X3 rims 8jX18 RT43. Would I be ok putting 235/40/18 on all 4 corners? Would I have any rubbing issues or poor winter riding issues?
Currently rolling on stock 225/45/19 on front and 255/40/19 on rears.
Thanks in advance.

Winters give the best traction with narrower tires/higher aspect ratios.

You wont have any issues with rubbing . However you may want to look at higher profile tires.

Even with the 43 offset, you think I’m good?
I am going through the clearance rack and scored a good price on the set of 235/40/18. I realize there is not much rubber there for winter driving but the price is too good to pass up. Lol

The amount of rubber isn't the problem, although you could say there's too much, width wise. You get the best traction in snow when the tire pushes the snow aside and makes contact with the road surface. The wider the tire the less it's able to do that.

This is accurate, one of the first times i believe i find myself agreeing with you mr. fritz.

I recommend 225/50/18 as your tire size.
