Couldn't resist the pic..

Passing through town. Guessing coming from the New Orleans port, I-10 heading to Houston. Ironically the local dealer here in town lots are sparse.

This is how mine came. The dealer said they'd never seen it before.

My local dealer receives them in completely enclosed trailers

So why would all this extremely expensive merchandise be transported on an open truck versus closed, and exposed to the elements? I am not a transportation specialist, but curios?

There really isn't much risk to them on one of these open trailers.

Open trailers are much more plentiful and likely a more economical way to transport cars than using carriers with enclosed car haulers. I bet they can carry more cars in a single load too.

I've seen far more expensive cars than those from multiple auto makers on an open hauler. In fact, a couple weeks ago I saw a hauler just like that loaded to the gills with C8 Corvettes. Based on prices and dealer mark-ups, you know every car on that trailer was probably well over $80K and probably pushing $100K

I've noticed Audi ships their cars on open trailers but with car covers on them. But leaves the windshields open? Id think that's where most of the damage would be haha

They leave the windshield exposed to drive the cars on and off the truck.
