ya M performance really beefy up the rotors to
the maximum 370mm with the stock 400m or even 397 rims.
the Rays, Yokohama and TWS rims distributor don't have any rims to try on, and they don't not guarantee if the rims will fit or not, and once ordered, I will need to pre-paid everything. The rims will be mine no matter they fit or not...

i could measure the inside diameter of my front at the highest point of the caliper and you could compare to your 400m. actually i have my stock 441m i could compare it to also.

it still be risky without actually having a wheel to test fit, though

Thanks Alohasurftoad for the offering. i found a shop who claim Rays ZE40 18inch will fit. A bit more expensive than the distributor's price. But I won't need to buy it if they don't fit.

What's your suspension? Any pics of your setup?

I have about 1200 miles on my TSW Bathurst now. Been happy with them and no issues with 255/40.

I just went to test fit the Rays ZE40 18“ rims. Plenty of rooms left even with 370mm M Performance brake kit, can probably fit 380 rotors.

These would be my overall favorite lightweight 18" wheel, if not for durability concerns...

D-FORCE LTW5

They're just over $1000 a set, weigh 18 lbs even, are the timeless "5 spoke mag" style wheel, clear at least E90 M3 brakes, fit BMW centercaps and come in a perfect size/offset for square tire setups (18x9" et 41). The only reason I would choose an APEX wheel over these are durability and possibly F3x big brake clearance. I've read of APEX wheels taking some nice racing impacts and staying together, whereas the D-Force wheels have been shown to crack spokes near the hub. I wish someone *cough* APEX *cough* would produce an affordable, durable, lightweight 5-spoke wheel that cleared huge brakes.

Apex ARC-8R or EC-7R, forged, knurled beads. Best forged value if you don't mind mesh. Recommend

VSForged, custom widths and offsets

Advan RZ-F2, 8.5" ET35, 9 5" ET45, made to order. you'll be the only BMW with them, lil under $4K shipped, though.

HRE, Volk Racing, Vorsteiner, Vossen, Klassen all have custom forged that cost even more

ADDED...BMW OEM 513M, 18x9 ET29, 18x10 ET40, Recommend.

ADDED2...BC Forged

.

Any experience anyone with running 245/45-18 square instead of 245/40-18 square? I would prefer the xtra comfort and perhaps performance form the slightly higher sidewall.

BBS RI-A Forged - super safe offset no rubs whatsoever even on bumps when cornering.

Which one can use with tires wider than F 245+ and R 275+?

all of them fit 245/40/18 front, 275/35/18 rear.

I forgot about the BBS RIA as b7ff posted. this is lightest perfect setup for you with 245/275. as with most forged wheels, they are not cheap at around $3420USD.

Btw, another light 18 inch option would be the WedsSport TC105N or TC105X.. These wheels are not forged, however it is as light as my BBS.

Note that TC105N inner barrel will NOT fit the 370mm M-Performance brakes... I learnt the expensive way -- got the wheels, re-drilled them to 5x120, only to found out it doesnt freakin fit the caliper (spacer will not help, because problem is on the inner barrel, not the face).. If I got to choose though, I like how this wheel looks better than my BBS.

*Note: This is stock height.. The picture with BBS is lowered with Eibach Pro-Kit.
