Finally got to dyno my ActiveHybrid 3 (with mods)

Got some interesting results, the highest one being 361.69HP and 376.83TQ (at the wheels) with some interesting curves. This is with a JB4 on Map 5, Meisterschaft GT cat-back, Dinan CF intake, & ER chargepipe. Haven't found many other AH3 dyno runs to compare, does this sound approximately correct?

So no runs on map4 ? which is your baseline (stock) to see your delta
Dynos are pointless without before/after since thats all they will display (gains).

Also try to get your Dynos together in 1 graph Power/Torque

Dont mean to come off wrong but thanks for posting your dyno

Example..

No worries man, much appreciate the feedback. I unfortunately was not able to ever dyno the car before this, so this is essentially my baseline. Also, I didn't even think to run on Map 4. The dyno operators were working pretty quickly, so I didn't get to do a few of the things I wanted to (and will next time).

Try maybe another shop; but yes always do map4 since it changes to stock w/ data logging enabled as your last run will do as baseline.

Some ppl that are anal, get 1hr or 2hr of Dyno session for a negotiated rate.
- 3 pulls on stock map0 or map4
let car cool off for 10-15mins
- 2 pulls on map1 ; cool down 5-10mins
- 2-3 pulls on map2 ; cool down 5-10mins
- 2-3 pulls on whatever other map u want 5/6/7

Numbers seem reasonable although next time also record a JB4 log so you can check the vitals. I'd be curious to know the boost levels.

Numbers are good but i recommend you always do a stock run first to get a better idea of the gains and always datalog your dyno run

Just got it back from the install of a Pure Stage 2 with all the goodies. Gotta tune in the methanol injection a bit, and then another dyno. Should be fun, since I have everything on it except a built motor and ECU flash since nobody is willing to touch the hybrid (so far....working on some things). How does the Dinan thing compare to a JB4?

Dinan stage 1 - 2 - 3 it'a a real piggy
bypass a lot of sensor from MEVD17.2 ECU to all Engine.
It's great ecu tuning solution

Jb4 it' a classic map-tmap bypass with a simple processor like a commodore 64.

But i don't know real performance of dinan in 335i or hybrid 335i
On the paper seem the best

Switching maps upwards as above doesn't give DME adaption time.

I'd be inclined to dyno the car in the map you want measured having driven the car for awhile in this map.

Once done then switch to map 4 to get baseline dyno.

Those extra 300 lbs. need the extra HP, but I suspect equal hp figures could be attained on a non-hybrid 335 with similar modifications.

Nice work on getting this data out there. Ive always been curious on the AH3 tuning numbers. This squiggly lines happened to me too for several reasons. Mine was, first the tires were not gripping, and then my tq was tuned so high my clutch was slipping. Either way i can imagine the car has some umph now. Any hiccups through the power band? Or does it just keep pulling?

Been driving it all day in Map 3 and my god does it pull. It pulls forever, there just isn't an end to it. No hiccups as far as I've seen, other than I got a traction warning when I floored it around 100MPH...

I need to install my N20 TMAP sensor, mix in some E85, and some tuning to the meth injection, and then I'll dyno again.

Good point made previously about DME adaptives, I didn't even think about that.

I like PURE RAW figures without adaptation lol so I dyno'ed map4 with datalogging first then map1 and then 2 on 93.. When i did the E30 dyno I was driving in map2, then went to map7 (1 pull) then back to map1, map4 so it was adapted for 50 miles prior to dyno.
Now time to dyno Bootmod3

afranke map3 meth map?

Pflugerville ? I'll have to keep an eye out when I'm back running around down there again. Can't be too many AH3s driving around, especially modded.

So I asked Dinan about the tuner and what stage I should be looking at for my setup, and this is the response they sent me:

Stick with the JB4 with that setup. The DINANTRONICS system is not designed to interact with downpipes (CAT removal), meth, or E85 fuel.

Just ran another dyno on Map3 (methanol map, using Boost Juice 50/50 meth/water) with 50/50 of 93 octane and E85, and managed a very consistent 455HP to the wheels. Based on the data, it looks like I'm lacking in the fueling department, so I may up the meth mixture/flow and/or look at a Fuel-It rail. Only at 16psi currently, so there is tons of room to play.

455 at the wheels?
same dynojet ? how much torque ?
for only 16psi if its 455whp with 50/50 meth mixture and 93 + e85 thats very good
can you post the graph?
