Service plan - 5 years

I have a 5 year service plan due to expire this September.

Reading into conflicting sources of information unless there have been multiple changes to the T&Cs over the past 4+ years? I know of the drop from 5 year to 3 year plans, but not on what’s covered.

E.g BMW claim that the brake fluid change is year 3 only, but below and in other forums some seem to state a 5th year brake fluid change is also covered?

3rd post down

I have used the online booking link for a service and it only shows a free oil, air filter, spark plugs and cabin filter.

£20 standard scope charge?

One last one, does the service mileage counter have to be within <1000 or can I go there and get it done anytime before it expires (currently saying 13k, but less than 2K miles ago it said 18k) so quite hard to judge where it will be come September..

Edit: Online it shows that a fluid change is £80 and iDrive states it’s due next September. It’s not the end of the world just wanted to know ahead of time.

You do have to be within 1000 miles / 1 month.

As to the second brake fluid change being included or not, you can only go off the official documentation - what someone has written in a forum post means nothing.

I’m struggling to find the BMW doc or link that said brake fluid 3rd and 5th year only, just used the forum post as a point of reference until I find it again.

Regarding the 1000/1 month interval, they’ll either then turn me away or put it down as a charge?

If much cheaper do they frown upon providing fluids and parts (BMW own brand) and oil that matches spec?

The original service inclusive packages included the second brake fluid change - effectively they included all servicing.

This was changed in about 2012/13 to exclude the second brake fluid change.

It was then further spoiled in 2017 when it dropped to 3 years.
