Luxury 335i GT is on its way !

Having had my current Luxury 328i GT for just over 2 years, and having loved every minute of it, I ordered a replacement on 5th October.

A Luxury 335i GT in Mineral Grey, with Oyster leather interior.

Visibility Package
Automatic Gearbox
Heated front seats and steering wheel
Comfort Access

Ext. Mirrors folding & dimming
Extended storage
Burr Walnut trim with inlay

Assembly complete : 26 October.

I've just got back from a few days in southern Portugal and asked the dealer for an update.
It arrived in Thorne yesterday, assigned to carrier today and the dealer is expecting it in Inverness on Tuesday or Wednesday.

5 weeks and 1 or 2 days from ordering !

Firstly the rear seat release leavers is yours in the boot on the sides? As mine are on the end of the actual seat.

Secondly, does the Extended Interior Lighting have lighting near the seat belt near the top?

Yes, re your questions on the Luxury model.

Here are the rear seat release levers on mine -

And this is, I think, the lighting you are referring to.
This is also switchable, along with the rest of the interior, ambient lighting, between white (as shown here), and orange.

Yes it does answer my questions thanks very much.

My GT does not have the same release function as yours. I always thought that it was standard but now I think it only appears on the Luxury version.

As for the Extended lighting package, again it would seem that only the Luxury has that extra lighting on the pillar.

I wish those options were standard across the range.

So, in that case it becomes even more confusing, as certain features like this appear to be not only model specific, but also market/country specific.

There is some sort of extra/extended storage package, not sure what it includes. I know that some things witch is extra in some of the european countries is standars in Norway. It is only fair with the high horsepower taxes we have

Mine has them, and it's a base model.

FWIW there is no 'extended storage' package in the US. My assumption is that in some markets the base model has fixed rear seats, and you need to pay extra for the folding rear seats that we get as standard equipment.

It actually arrived at the dealership late on Monday afternoon, exactly 5 weeks from ordering. I'm picking it up early next week.
