Hey you guys so today I changed out my rear tires
first of all they where done already but I also thought my noise was coming from the tires being worn out but now that I have new tires I'm still getting this Humming whining type noise to me it sounds like is coming from the differential any one here has had this problem and got it fixed should I do a diff oil service on it ? I wish I can upload the video I took What you guys think it is Rear bearings Or diff problem

Are yours x-drive? My friend's e92 had this problem at 40mph. His custom 20" wheels were all re-balanced but noise still there. Had transfer case replaced by dealer - problem still there. Strange that dealer couldn't figured this out. I had him put back his old stock rims and tires, problem went away. So - it was the wheel/tire combination that was not jiving with the xdrive system.

Just found this thread - I've got basically the same sound in my 335 xDrive
- typically do NOT notice it during the first ~5-10 minutes of operation - seems worst 5-40 mph, not always there - no noticeable change side-to-side (past bearing issues you notice when you load up the impacted corner) Curious if you ever got this resolved? |
