EVO II is not supported. Those units are WAY more expensive
F46: I will ask.
Normal kit includes the screen and the wiring harnass (disconnect Idrive, cable in between and put back together an voila)
Also an additional double USB cable to run to the glove compartiment for example and another cable for additional video/audio in/outputs. Last 2 cables are loose from the main harnass and need to be put in the screen itself.
GPS antenna and a aux cable is also included.

Options available as described.

See link in topic start for alibaba page.

I may be interested. 2013 F30 with the 6.5". No Nav. Mostly interested in getting a back up camera. I have read much of the Avin and Ugode threads, so I'm not convinced that this product will work perfectly/seamlessly for using my radio, taking calls, using carplay, NAV, etc.

But if I primarily wanted to put in a backup camera, and I didn't want to go with one of those over the rear view mirror options, this may be a somewhat cost effective (or cost similar) solution with the added ability to perhaps mess around with the android side.

This group buy with the camera and carplay is about $500.

Bimmer-tech rear view camera retrofit is $700. I would still have the 6.5" screen.

Bimmer-tech VividScreen with backup camera is $900.

From a backup camera only point of view, the ugode may be worth it to me.

It looks like I have about a week to make up my mind.

I too am interested and have an early F31 with 6.5" screen and no nav. I don't think this is CIC or NBT I know I have no combox installed. Will this still be supported?

It should work without an issue since it just adds the Android functions but you can switch to the things you are used to

Does Ugode fix audio issues over Avin? Also does it dim like OEM Idrive at night etc? What app is used with apple carplay?

It depends a bit on your system. If you have to connect the aux cable then the general experience with the audio is not that good. Adding an audio filter app helps.
If you don't have to connect it, audio is fine.
Ugode helps where avin is just sales imho (had one and returned it after continuous absence of avin aftersales service).
The unit doesnt have a light sensor but is connected to your cars light so when that comes on, the unit dims a bit. This can be solved with apps as well of course.
I dont have experience with carplay sorry. Please check/ask in the experiences topic

Interested

Hi guys! I'm so glad I found this forum <3

I have a BMW 520D xdrive 2017 which is assume is F11 NBT (also based on the interface on the current iDrive interface compared to the older CIC). So I assume I qualify in this group buy

Can I order now already or have to wait for the period specified in the post?

What is the use of carplay if we have the UI of this tablet? I've never had carplay so don't know, but seems like maps/music/etc. already is avaiable in the tablet, do I really need to jack up the phone with cable to get car play?

Thanks!

People can buy sooner than the date as well, just use the link as posted and indicate somewhere that it is the FORUM GROUP BUY and please add your name and system details in the spreadsheet of the topicstart.
See also the answers on you questions in the other topic
Im happy with the speed itself. Its not comparable to a tablet but using waze navigation etc its working fine.
You do need to connect it to your phones hotspot but that can also be automated by tasker for example.

beanbaguk About the F46, isnt it the same system as an F48?
if so, it is available.
Easiest way is to check with BMW ETK and the last part of your VIN to see what system you have and then check on models where it is used.
I dont think they made a new system just for the F46.
F30/31/32/35 are also the same

I've made my order and issued payment now!
I bought the screen + carplay dongle for my 520d F11 2017.

Excellent response time from the seller and much assistance with questions, highest remarks.

I will have to agree. The main reason I purchased the Ugode was due to wanting a backup camera. As you mentioned the Bimmer Tech solution for just a backup camera is $700 which is a lot of money for just adding a backup cam.

With the Ugode you get so much more (bigger screen, Android, Etc.)
I can overlook the minor issues because the backup camera works 100% of the time. I wouldn't have any extras if I went the other route.

Do you have a camera with your sensors? If so, this works seamlessly with your existing setup.
