F31 335d - Coming in Nov 13

According to here: http://www.bimmertoday.de/2013/08/19...iturbo-diesel/

313BHP

2,550 Euros / £2,200 more than the 330d X-Drive.

No mention of the RHD, but I would be very surprised if it's not coming to the UK.

** edit: It's listed on the BMW.de price list now - http://www.bmw.de/dam/bmw/marketDE/b...3634347341.pdf

If the 335d is really £2,200 more than the 330d X-Drive, it defeats the point of getting the PPK.

£40 per extra BHP (for 335d) vs c.£55 per extra BHP (if you get the PPK)

Popped in to local BMW dealer today. He looked on the system and no possibility to order 335d touring yet. Not in October, November or December.

However he did say he had been on a training session and had been told it will be available in s and x drive when it is launched. Don't see why the saloon hasn't been released if this is true though!

Only problem I see is how an open diff is going to cope with that power. Could we be talking about an M335d with an LSD???

I want, I think, a 2wd 335d Touring, preferably with a LSD. I don't think BMW will produce such a car, and they are certainly making it hard to find out what they are planning.

Are BMW intentially pushing me towards an Alpina do you suppose?

The new D3 is calling me if BMW don't come with the right answers soon.

But as it has 350bhp and a faintly ridiculous 520lb ft of torque, by the "new think" of BMW that is TOO MUCH to put down with just two wheels.

I assume therefore I'll have to get out and push it forward at traffic lights as my wheels wantonly spin without traction, but as long as I jump back in I may be able to extract some sort of performance on a straight, dry, high grip tarmac road

And have huge fun at all other times.....
