Help :: replaced valve cover gasket now what?

Group,

I was experiencing a leaky valve cover gasket and had a VERY small amount of oil that was seeping out. I would see oil spots under the car if it was parked for awhile after running. It smelled of oil every once in awhile but you couldn't tell unless looking for it. I decided to go ahead and replace the gasket. The gasket was replaced and torqued to spec. After driving for about 20 miles, CEL!! . I scanned the car and got the ol' P0171 code. Before scanning I knew the air/fuel ratio was probably the issue. I popped the hood, removed the plastic engine cover and rubber insulator. There was a little oil residue on the rubber piece so I traced it to where it was making contact with the valve cover. Turned the car back on and felt air coming out of the same area. I believe its called the Valvetronic Actuator?? There's a wire loom connecting to it labelled 'VVT'. So it seems there's a build up of pressure (maybe too much) where it blew this Valvetronic Actuator gasket as well since now I have a tight seal where the gasket was leaking before.
Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to look into the PCV system as well or just replace the VVT gasket and move on?
