2017 340i GT - Lease Questions
Hello all,
New to this forum. Looking to lease a 2017 340 GT. One dealer said he can't order it yet, but another dealer was able to price it out for me and said it would be delivered in 6-8 weeks. The Build Your Own option is live on the BMW site for the 2017s as of last week I believe. Has anyone out there leased one yet? My current vehicle, 2014 X3 35i, is coming off lease end of Sept. (My current X3 with Dynamic Handling package is a beast, but I think I'm ready for a car now, and the 440 just isn't quite big enough for the fam...plus I've gotten used to a higher ride height...only other option I've considered is a Cayenne S, but I need to save a bit for college tuition for the backseat occupants...) One dealer quoted me about 10% off MSRP of $64,945, MF of .00137, monthly lease of $699, excluding taxes & fees. Seems like a pretty good deal. That's with virtually every conceivable option. Would be curious to see if anyone else out there has ordered one of these, and what MF and residual and percent discount you are seeing. Thanks! PS - I'm looking at a slightly different build now than the one I got a quote for, MSRP of 63,195. Although I'm inclined to go with the M-sport package, I really like the Imperial Blue Metallic color (w/ Oyster Dakota interior), and that doesn't come with M-sport. Without the M-sport, I can get the color I want and just load it up with Dynamic Handling, Driver Assistance, Driver Assistance Plus (my wife drives the car occasionally, and our other vehicle is a Subaru w/ Eyesight (nanny-patrol), and she loves it), Active Cruise Control, Technology, Lighting, Cold Weather, etc. Plus 19" wheels with all-seasons (that I need in the northeast)... the M-sport only came with 19s and summer tires. I don't think there's anything performance-oriented that would be included on the M-sport package that I'm missing... Any recommendations would be appreciated!! I'm excited to get this car with the B58 six!! |

And the handling is at least 25% sharper. I can only imagine the B58 engine. I have the N55 with an Active Autowerke tune and down pipe pushing about 330 at the wheel. 50 over stock easy. You can also get the Dinan Shockware. $500 with install to increase chassis stiffness by 20% in sport +!!! I also have the 19" rims with the Conti SSR Sumer tires RFT. Very nice ride. Once I switch to a non run flat, everything will be even smoother and less rolling resistance. You should def opt for the GT man. It's awesome. Especially get some nice 20-35% tints. Btw let me tell you about my deal. 63,000 MSRP. Negotiated down to 56,500.....$3500 out of pocket. $3800 in MSDs (refundable at lease end) $535 a month, 10,000 miles a year. Pretty good deal I believe. Here check out a sick review I did for the X3 35i, almost 100k organic views. |

Great posts Crashnburn. You're right, the tints are sweet. My X3 is in white too, and I've been looking at the same color in the 340. Great minds... Glad to hear that you are enjoying your GT. Funny thing, based on your pic of the X3, looks like we leased that vehicle at the same dealership in NJ! Did you get your GT there too? Awesome deal with the MSD's. Do you remember what the residual was? 66%?

I went the same route from a 2014 X3 into a 2016 335 GT. However, after a great deal of waffling back and forth, I decided to go without the M Sport package. I liked the non-M wheels better and I couldn't get the leather dash (saddle brown) which I thought looked awesome. Instead I sprung for the VSS which really tightens up the steering almost to the level of my old E46. Couldn't be happier with the car after two months of ownership.

I also have red interior btw, are you thinking the same? Imagine if we think that alike!! I leased the GT through a broker this time around. It came out of Newton, NJ dealership. I believe the residuals are 65 or 66% |

To each his own, I guess. I thought the slightly bulbous rear of the GT looked better with a little chrome which better defined its lines so I went with the Luxury line rather than the M-Sport and added the DHP for handling. Since the M package was purely cosmetic and added nothing in the performance department, it was purely a matter of taste. If If I knew how to resize the photos, I would post them

Thanks. The only option I wanted had to forego was the 19 inch wheels but our roads are so bad that I'd be bending rims all winter long.
I really like the saddle brown interior against the Mineral Gray. |
