For 4.4 unit , there is a software to prepare an SD card with update file which will reset/reinstall your software. I am not home now to check where I found it, but look in older threads for 4.4.

Hello Here I am, I have a station from the avinusa 10.25 site for a BMW E87 CIC (No drive) Since a few days the car radio no longer works impossible to access the main menu the touchscreen no longer responds I have the message "no signal" but in reverse the camera switch very well, I was thinking of Firmware where MCU my impossible to make an update I no longer have access to the menu, is the reset or reboot button does not change anything it always comes back on no signal, had you a solution? Thank you. Thank you.

You need to create your bootanimation like on every other android system and place it into system\media then it will be loaded.

I have seen no possibility yet to change the bootlogo displayed before the bootanimation yet.

I have tried that and I can't manage it. The built it ones are not in that folder. I think they are .txt files also

Yes, i have converted a YT video to the Bootanimation, you can see here

But as i don`t want to risk some legal issue with BMW i don`t share the file :/

Short how to:

* Extract the YT Video with an online tool to GIF images
* Use an existing bootanimation file, replace the pictures and change the configuration file.
* put the bootanimation file into /system/Media

It`s important that the bootanimation.zip has to be Zip version 1.0 (store) not 2.0 to work.

Just noticed that Avin now also sells the Snapdragon model as optional upgrade.

Does anyone know if their black bezel display is the normal 'anti glare' version or the 'blue anti glare'?

My unit from naviodm on Aliexpress still hasn't been shipped yet and I am thinking of canceling my order in favor of Avin due to their support & download page. But only if it's the blue anti glare version.

//Edit: After I posted here the live chat on the Avin site popped up and I asked them directly. It is not the blue version but the regular black bezel 'anti glare'.
Apparently the 'blue anti glare' has a lot of defects and collects dust and debris in the screen. I was told not all units have these issues but enough so that they won't sell them.

I canceled my order on Ali, will wait for the cancellation confirmation and then order from Avin directly.

The image on the right sight is coming from the MCU, the MCU is like a second small computer on the systemboard like Android but much more slower.
when your Android does not show anything its likely dead.
to be shure remove it from your car and connect it only to a 12V source.
Only with 12V power a Android unit always does start instantly.
when it does not start, and even does not show the Bootlogo, then its probably dead/bricked.

You need to adopt the desc.txt file to fit the display resolution and frame rate.

For example my desc.txt is looking like this:

1280 480 25
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1

So my animation is running with 1280x480 resolution and 25 fps.
My file contains two folders Part0 which contains 150 images, and part1 which contains the last image from part0 folder again with the file counter +1.
i don`t know why Part1 is required, but i only got it working this way.

When selecting the compression strengh , select "store", so no compression.
