would be interesting if it would be possible to connect these devices to the BMW Performance Analyser.

at the play store i found "Sensor Test for Android" and "Senors Multitool", maybe someone can check which sensors are build in and active ?

Can anyone give me any tips with getting the reverse cam working. I bought it from avin at the same time as my HU. I've ran the signal wire from cam to HU. used the red on the signal wire to take power from the 12v wire in the HU to the cam and grounded the other end. Now all I get is the no signal screen. I've tried tapping the rear light for 12v instead but still nothing.

I am now using the soundkey. It also requires setting Android media volume to max, and then sound is amazing. Even better than Schiit Modi, maybe because of better output impedance. I installed the unit inside dash and I plan to forget it there. It works flawlessly.

Not sure why I didn't receive notifications for this thread. I did a factory reset on the Android head unit and everything is working properly. Mounted the DAC yesterday and it's a wrap. Couldn't be happier with the unit and I have it sounding better than the stock idrive side. With precise volume control I have poweramp and Spotify outputting at the same level

Are you both using Android 8.1 unit (I assume)?

Neither one is a "great" performer on the larger scale though output impedance should be a an important factor when deciding when choosing a DAC for this application as I have mentioned previously.

Not sure if this was already answered, but does the iDrive touch controller work as a mouse for the Avin android side?
I have the screen already installed, but a non-touch controller. If the touchpad on the idrive controller works as a mouse to control the android screen I'm gonna buy a touch controller.
It's annoying and dangerouse to reach over and touch the screen while driving.

Yeah, 8.1 AVIN unit. The SoundKey easily sounds good enough for car use. Actually, it sounds amazing. Better than Galaxy S8 output directly to aux port. Considering cost, sound quality and ease of use, SoundKey or similar DAC is a great option for improving Android HU sound quality.

Hi guys I’m just wondering if anyone can help me with my 4.4.4 system my unit is flickering when it’s full brightness when I put it to 50% the flickering stop but still flickers just a little I have emailed the seller but no luck.

If anyone experienced would you mind giving me advise to get around it please.

Also any updates or files item mcu updates files maybe I can update the system to the latest version to hipefully make the flickering stop.

Audio science review has a wide selection of DAC reviews. You can start there. I don't have anything specific I can recommend. You can go by measurements and then listen in your car. Honestly either of the DACs you guys are using lips and bounds better than built-in unmodified audio output of this Chineese product. It appears that they haven't done anything to improve audio quality in all of this different HW releases even though components selected there are capable of much better quality. The audio was definitely an afterthought...

I may be overthinking this, but are you guys using the DACs to connect to the USB of the Avin/4x4 android screens and then plugging it's output into the car's AUX as required for its sound output? Or are you guys cirvumventing the adroid screen and just using these DACs as the USB output from your phones, and then plugging into the AUX (or split AUX w/Android units sharig input)? I'm debating on getting the android screen, but currently happy with BT streaming with Spotify Ultra/High settings. Wondering if the screen can stream directly to the car's AUX in higher quality that stock BT using the soundkey/dragonfly DACs. Thanks in advance!

they are using the dacs to route audio from android screen to Aux input. Splitting Aux is horrible idea likely to cause serious humming noise.
As far as your question is going:
1. Phone -> lossy SBC codec (BT stream) -> BMW DAC
2. Android screen -> USB DAC -> BMW ADC -> BMW DAC
Technically option number 2 should be better if USB DAC-BMW ADC combo is of good quality. In practice it can be worth. Also the Android screen is buggy piece of hardware, you will be forced to share data on your phone or opt for external modem. It can all be automated but requires knowledge of how to/time. So it is your choice.
If you avoid the DAC with Android screen and care about audio quality you better stick to your existing setup. Android screens have horrible audio quality that can be improved with some soldering skills, but won't be as good as even mediocre external DAC.

Had my avin 10.25 show up today. Struggling to understand which aux goes where including the splitter as well as what plugs where in the gps splitter. Also dont know where my video feed wire for the back up camera is as I had one already. Anyone have any experience or help for a 2015 f80 m3?
