Billstein b14 coilovers

Hey guys, I put on Billstein B14 coilovers about 2 months ago along with a new wheel setup.

Im wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how to make the coilovers sit lower.. I expected them to drop the car more but I've still got a bit of a wheel gap in the back..

Car is a 15 335i xDrive for what it's worth..

They are height adjustable... have you maxed it at the lowest settings already?

Are you certain they were installed correctly?

You can actually remove the rear adjustable spring collar entirely - and this will drop the rear another inch.

As above, post some photos.

I believe they were installed correctly.. I've heard about this piece you can remove, what does the component look like?

You can switch to shorter springs. Just have to verify that the dampers can't bottom out (which you can prevent with shims).

For all it's worth: the suspension height looks just about right.

I'm happy with how the front is sitting, the fender sits just alittle bit over the tire.. I would just like the back to come down alittle bit to even that out and close the gap

I've thought about this as well.. what springs would I be looking at for a good combo?

Just too add, here's a pic of how the rear coils are installed.. not the clearest photo but maybe some people more knowledgable could identify if there's any issues here or if they look improper

Looks like your rear spring isn't installed correctly. The spring cup at the top should be removed and replaced by the height adjuster. Your spring is also upside down. The bound coils with the ground flat end of the spring should be on top against the adjuster. This is why you can't get low enough in the rear.

As Farkle said, it's been installed incorrectly.
This is what they should look like.

The adjustable spring collar is the silver and black part at the top.

Wow so just gotta take the rear springs out, take the black cup off, flip the springs then put the height adjuster at the top? & that will solve the height issue? just out of curiosity would a mistake like this affect the the way the car drives/handles at all or just height?

It'll affect the handling a little bit because the weight shift differs depending on how high the various ends of the car are to each other. It's most noticeable at the limit (where there's the largest amount of shift).

The photo of your car actually looks perfect. Do you know your ground clearance or Fender To Ground measurements?

Heres a pic of the final on mine.. they did settle.. but its as low as it will go.. included a pic of the subframe out for your reference if that helps...

VA - glorious photos! You are the only one I know that runs hard race rear arms.
- do you run all four (I can only see three in the photo)?
- how are they in terms of additional noise and harshness?

I've been looking everywhere for feedback as no one in Australia that I know of runs them!

I noticed you're running subframe and diff bushes (although I can't tell what brand).
I too am running Superpro subframe and Superpro diff bushes. I was hoping to see whether the hard race rear arms are overkill.

Ha!! Yea .. good catch .. they're just there for photo op... never really paid attention.. but they are installed correct!
