every 3-series coupe had a functioning sunroof, and the 4 is essentially a 3 series with 2 doors. i would guess it will have a fully functioning sunroof.

His point is that the tires on the M-Sport are skinnier and taller than the ones on the Sport. Not intuitive.

Actually they have the same width (225 front - 255 rear) so M Sport has to have taller side walls. And that is not intuitive if M Sport is the most sporty and aggressive line.

Any chance customers will be allowed to get official diagnostic tools rather than having to run to the stealership for each and every minor thing? Would be nice if end users/customers of the technical age in high tech cars can actually take care of their own issues without having to waste time for the dealership (might even save bmw na some money because we can avoid stupid dealership visits).
Simple things like allowing owners to handle registering a new car battery or registering new fuel injectors via idrive??? Maybe cycle thru ALL the diag parameters in idrive |

Maybe not for the US, but I think he did mention an M Performance 4 Series with the tri-turbo 3.0 diesel (M440d? M450d?), and the same for the 3 Series and the X4. So yes, we need more info!

E90-F30 was 30% stiffer, I would think the number will be similar/the same.

Besides the fact that it doesn't make sense for the M Sport tires to be narrower/taller than Sport Line tires, the F32 German Guide (see PDF here), lists the same size for both the 19" Sport Line and 19" M Sport tires. Both are listed as: 225/40 front and 255/35 rear

Thanks Jason; so my question would then be when and what can we expect from the sub-M M Performance (formally IS) model, thanks.

"Standard 4 Series with M Performance Accessories"
Yes but they are exclusive for the 4er . As for the Cabrio? It will very much mimic the Coupe in engine and xDrive variants.

I'd jump on one of those myself. In my view, the extremely limited interior color palette is one of the largest paths of differentiation between the 3 and 4 series that BMW did NOT take. I love the car, but I was sort of hoping for a little more exclusivity. In fact, every third 435 driving around is going to be more or less the exact same car inside and out.

I've read a lot of speculation and media quotes in both directions regarding coupe vs saloon rigidity, but it would be interesting to see hard numbers between the F30 and F32 and be able to compare them to the previous gen. Maybe the coupe is stiffer, maybe not? |

Australian F32
An Australian media article has reported that variable-ratio sport steering and adaptive dampers will be standard on M Sport models of the F32 in Australia.
I want to know if this is correct or not for the Australian market? Article link is below and it’s mentioned in the 11th paragraph. http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2013...FCQzAmTm5lPTE1 |
