The only thing I hate about my first BMW is I didn't buy one sooner.

It was exactly the same for me My Audi goes silent as soon as I pull the key out (like most other cars). So I felt quite frustrated with the BMW initially, but now really appreciate it

after having the for 7 years, there are two things that bug the shit out of me... one is the audio.
when plugging an ipod into the USB port in the center console, frequently it will freeze and grey out, meaning i need to do a hard reboot of the ipod. the other issue is bluetooth connectivity. a lot of times it shows my iphone as connected (and has happened with a 7, 10 and now 11), i can't stream audio. it shows that it's playing on my phone, but no audio comes out. i've had to forget the device and re-pair at times. sometimes toggling between AUX and BT can work, but that is frequently not working now. I've resorted to completely turning off my car at a stop light but even that didn't work yesterday. Annoying AF. not sure if it's my car or just the wonky tech that is BT. the other one is that my trunk stays locked even after unlocking the car with the center button. any way to change that setting so the trunk unlocks when the car is off? |

Check you lock setting on the i drive. If one push of the button on the remote unlocks just the driver's door (and fuel door), the other three and the trunk remains locked. If you want the trunk to unlock too you must enable all the doors to be unlocked with the first push. The settings for what the center button does is also customizable with the lock settings, at least on LCI

Not a suspension issue, it's the OEM runflat tires. Get a decent set of regular go flat tires and be amazed by the transformation. You will never go back. Get a portable air compressor and a can of fix a flat, for the mobility issues. and get a AAA card, for tows, that you will eventually need. We all will, price of admission to the world of BMW's...I will drive nothing else, BMW has spoiled me to death, from other cars.

I love my 435i but often wonder what BMW’s was thinking with several things:
Windshield wipers that won’t let you clean under them without putting them in service mode. Constantly double pulling every handle. Radio Steering wheel controls on wrong side of steering wheel. Excessive wind noise. Fake exhaust sound. PS: Great thread!!! |

I don't like that the "whack-a-rattle" feature comes standard on every F30. Every time I isolate a rattle and correct it, another one pops up. Just like at the carnival, the game is unwinnable. :

No Euro Hazards option via coding. It is super eye catching on the
E46 and e83 which is its purpose. Disappointed rather than hate, I suppose. |
