The ONLY thing I HATE about my f30 is...

Cold start hesitation and near stalling. Everything about my f30 is sensational but when cold starting it tries to stall out. Dealer says it's normal, I give up.

What do YOU hate?

Try a different dealer. Almost stalling is not normal.

Does it stall out when you put it in gear or while in park?

It isn't fine when idling but upon putting it in gear the rpm's drop dramatically and become erratic for a minute, then when pulling away it surges whipping your head. Dealer says I need to warm up a minute or two the manual says otherwise.

Only thing I hate so far is how the steering wheel controls are on the opposite side they need to be.

Do you have any info on what specifically was updated on the software? TSB or campaign number?

Mine has no hesitation on startup. That's not normal. I'd take it to a different dealer for a proper diagnosis. What don't I like? Not much to pick on. I'll go with cramped cup holder design.

Speedometer on the left of the gauge cluster. Its always behind my wrist when driving. It?s been forcing me to keep both hands on the wheel to where now I wish I had paddle shifters lol.

This! I had an E39 530i and E63 AMG, and they were very quiet even at high speeds. The F30 makes a ton of wind noise at the top of the windshield and also sounds like from the side mirrors.

Loud transmission whine when going in reverse. Also the exhaust burbles and pops only being loud when they want to. Sometimes it sounds like gunshots and sometimes its just a little burble

1) No sync for climate control? Come on BMW, it's not that hard...
2) Buying Bluetooth connectivity for your cellphone does not mean you have the ability to stream Bluetooth audio for your music. This was an option I assumed was included but actually wasn't on a fairly loaded 2014 4-Series. BMW really does nickel and dime you for basic features.
3) Back up camera woes...one day my backup camera decided to start showing an upside down imagine instead. Needed a dealer reset to fix it.

That's about it. All things I am okay with, but shouldn't have to be given the price tag of the machine.

If you want sync for climate control you have to get an F10. Wonder if there's a bimmertech fix. As far as bluetooth audio, by 2014 most manufactures had streaming included. I think it's finally included now.

No squeaks/rattles or wind noise here.

Really the only thing that pisses me off is the throttle (pedal) delay when taking of from a stop. I've got 8AT. Doesn't always happen, but guaranteed to do it a few times a day, more often in the morning. I can hear the engine start to spool up, but car barely goes. Then...if you're not careful and apply a little too much pedal...boom, off you go with head snapping back. Very non-linear.

Only thing I hate about the car is how the center HVAC anthracite wood trim vent trim piece creaks and crackles like a bag of potato chips when pushed on. If I weren't lazy I would remove and line a bunch of stuff with weather stripping because its not a flush fit but I am lazy, so I suffer through it. Poor quality control. Ive been in $16000 Hyundai base rental cars w/more solid interior trim appointments.
