As one off if you post your 1B FSC file, I'll generate you a code, I've done one for my a mate's F10 CIC Premium. However it's at your own risk if you accept the code I generate.

Anyone successfully generated a code using the above? I've been helping a fellow member generate a code for the West map but it comes up incorrect/rejected by CIC. However when we generate a older 2014-1 map it is correct/accepted.

I have, and it works fine, and I would hope it is correct considering it comes straight from BMW AG's latest official 2015 04 08 Lookup.xml file.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. The lookup entries, I have to admit all looks fine to me. Sounds like the 1B FSC file could be incorrect.

Strange that the 1b FSC file that I've been using has generated the correct FSC codes for the last two map updates 2014-1 & 2014-2 but hasn't done so for 2015-2???

And for 2015-2, you are certain you are using SWID 0028000A?

Yes I did tried several 2015 lookup xml's on the web and they all produce the same codes??

PM me short VIN you are using and the code you are getting for both 2014-1 and 2015-2.

I get same codes, but you send me 2014-2 code not 2015-2. 2014-2 Code won't work for 2015-2 map.

I have successfully updated maps to Europe Next 2015-2 using a well known method (downloaded FSC file from car and then used map code generator).

I am just curious, how map update code can be generated without access to the car, only with a VIN number? Is it possible only having access to BMW servers via BMW dealership or it can be done offline with a special software?

The 1B / DE file is pulled from BMW Server instead of extracted from Head Unit.

No. Few have access. Most are actually re-sellers after buying file from those with actual access.

After all I was unable to do it because I was hoping to use my hardrive as a USB PEN to upload the map but it didn't work. And I don't have 32gb USB PENDrive.
This means I need to buy or borrough one. So still need more time to try it.

Btw, is there a way of using several USB Pendrives smaller than 32gb?
Using for instance 3 x 8gb USB pendrives?
If so, how would that be possible since the map is not structured like that?
Is there a map version (EUR PREMIUM 2015-2) splitted in 3 volumes?

I don't think you can use 3 USB as the map data is one file,best go buy a 32gb USB they ain't mega bucks saves a lot of hassle my friend.

Hello, fighting a little problem. I have a 2013 F25. I am using the latest NAV NA-2015-2.

I extracted my 1B using SW_ID. I renamed it and attached it as a .txt doc here.

At first, I was not getting a valid code because I was using the NBT command line. After a few codes I found the error in my ways. I switched to FSC.

So I tried
fsc L976806_001B0001.fsc 0x2d 0x07 L976806
Now I get:

version after create() = 0xD1.

Various threads suggest a base64 problem. I've tried both encoding and decoding the file without change. Any suggestions?
