Yes, series 3 was the best they’d done in several years. Came across as much more natural and less scripted. The Mongolian special was really entertaining so more of that would be welcome.

Absolutely. It reminds me of Attenborough style vistas, some decent facts (almost like a bit of history) and funny banter. Loved that Mongolia episode, I liked the Georgia one too.

It’s a real shame this series so much better without the celebrity crap etc, been sooo much better it’s sad to see it end, but it is such an old format as the montage at the end showed, how young they looked! Jezza in tears was unexpected!

Bring on the specials.

The format has been canned. They will carry on with a new series but will be no tent, audience, track etc, will all be mini specials instead.

The audience in the tent adds little. I will miss the use of a regular track for car comparison.

I have the last episode to watch yet but series 3 so far has been quite good

I just hope they find a way to include a news segment of some sort. Watching the 3 argue was great entertainment.

Just watched the last one recently.

Interesting when they went through the cars they all hated and one of them was the X3. Maybe the older one? As everybody seems to rave about the latest one.

yeah it was the older one, i recall a top gear special DVD (i think it was!) and they had it on the worst cars of all time. I remember a stunning black M5 been drifted around some car park.

It was the very original X3, which if I remember correctly he said the suspension was too firm on road, and then took it on an extreme off road course and moaned because it got stuck! Of course the X3 is not built for that type of use though.

Funny they also said they hated the Qashqai, which is what my wife has!

Shame we wont probably see her again on the next Grand Tour.
