I guess it's just a bit late for some of us - I bought my 335d 4.5 years ago. If the dampers had been available at the time I had the springs fitted, I would certainly have tried the demo car. The springs alone made a very significant improvement, and I can imagine that the whole package would be very well sorted. I don't expect to keep the car long enough now to justify doing this.

We accept that it's late in the day, hence the offer. Unfortunately we don't get to dictate what we want to the Germans (sound familiar? ) or we would have had the dampers for xDrives sooner.

On the flip side, if your dampers have done some miles and are a bit tired, and you're keeping the car, now is the time to change them. New dampers from BMW, especially the adaptive variety, aren't cheap either

I can't place it, but it does sound strangely familiar

I like your thinking - this being a maintenance issue, rather than a frivilous upgrade. Far easier to justify to the other half. It's a fair point though - if dampers need replacing, it makes sense to fit proper ones.

Wonder if this will work if I stick this on my mantelpiece?

Dear Santa,

I have been good all year. Please can I have some new springs and dampers?

Little Timmy...

Is the full kit available for the 328i?

Whats the full cost, do you have to buy the kit then get booked in somewhere
Thanks in advance

I am very tempted by the springs for my 335i and then get some m3 style alloys for it

Yes, but do you already have the springs and does your car have adaptive dampers at the moment?

I don't think I have any photos of that specific combination, sorry, but the ride height would be 10-20mm lower front and rear if that helps.

Agreed and same here. I like having the option to switch to a nice soft ride on the motorway. Just wish there was an option to keep it.

I missed the chance to drive the demo car, but I've just mailed Deutschtech asking for a date for fitting

Will be springs and fitting, i was just quoted about £582 from MP Irlam for both, breaks down in to 318.99 for springs and 262.50 for the fitting. Hope that's of some use.

That’s not bad, I thought for a second it was £600 just for fitting I’ll have to look for someone local to me to do the job. Thanks for the info.

On the sports kit the rear bumpstops are the standard BMW ones, the front bumpstops are built into the AC Schnitzer suspension legs.
