I guess it's just a bit late for some of us - I bought my 335d 4.5 years ago. If the dampers had been available at the time I had the springs fitted, I would certainly have tried the demo car. The springs alone made a very significant improvement, and I can imagine that the whole package would be very well sorted. I don't expect to keep the car long enough now to justify doing this.

On the flip side, if your dampers have done some miles and are a bit tired, and you're keeping the car, now is the time to change them. New dampers from BMW, especially the adaptive variety, aren't cheap either |

I like your thinking - this being a maintenance issue, rather than a frivilous upgrade. Far easier to justify to the other half. It's a fair point though - if dampers need replacing, it makes sense to fit proper ones. |

Yes, but do you already have the springs and does your car have adaptive dampers at the moment?

I missed the chance to drive the demo car, but I've just mailed Deutschtech asking for a date for fitting

That’s not bad, I thought for a second it was £600 just for fitting I’ll have to look for someone local to me to do the job. Thanks for the info.
