World Cup 2018
I'm beginning to look forward to the world cups starting. I have very little optimism for England, but maybe that's a good thing as we always expect miracles from a team that never matches the world elite.
I think it will be interesting how Russia handle the flash points that are certain to occur given the situation in Marseille at Euro 16. I've had a quick look at the groups and my predictions to progress past the group stages are: (1,2) Group A Uruguay, Russia Group B Spain, Portugal Group C France, Denmark Group D Argentina, Croatia Group E Brazil, Serbia Group F Germany, Mexico Group G Belgium, England Group H Columbia, Poland Last 16 (winner) France v Croatia Uruguay v Portugal Brazil v Mexico Belgium v Poland Spain v Russia Argentina v Denmark Germany v Serbia Columbia v England Quarters (winner) France v Portugal Brazil v Belgium Spain v Argentina Germany v England Semi (winner) France v Brazil Spain v Germany Final (winner) France v Germany I think in 2018 the frogs will have legs! |

It's likely going to be the worst World Cup.
The Russians are more than likely to let their fans run amok especially targeting English fans. A large number of matches will be spoiled through cultural racism. There will also be a number of English fans arrested and detained for anything the Russians can think of. The football is going to be overshadowed by the rest of the bollox the Russians get up to. |

Yeah I would not be going there with a England top on after what they did the last time.
I wouldn't be trusting there Police either. I'm currently in Germany and they have all the flags on the cars already. |

I stopped being excited by World Cups and the Euros about 10 years. Being in Russia I have even less interest.

The French have such a good squad, but not sure Deschamps knows how to pick his best team. Brazil have been great since they got rid of Dunga... so that could be a humdinger of a match.

Although I also think club football is shite now, just the teams with the most money always at the top, unfortunately many millions wouldn’t agree it’s ruined the sport, but once you know, you know. |

I'd go for Germany or Brazil to lift the trophy.
I think that we've got less than no chance. Wouldn't have made any difference but England's best midfield forward passer is at home. That the tournament is in Russia is the most concerning aspect though. |

Its football, it fills the gap before the new season starts, I am used to disappointment based on club football, and its always better than cricket... I'd like to see Brazil win it as England wont and I dont want France or Germany to!! |

I would take Wilshere over him. I suspect though that our attacking will come from the flanks and midfields job will be to move it wide, not much more... |

Aye but he would have set up Kane for couple of goals by then, before being free for the final.

The last world cup I was excited to watch England was 1990. Every other major championship I get suckered in to thinking that they might do ok only to get let down.
My dad went to the 1966 world cup final. He got a last minute ticket when one of his uncles dropped out! |

They say, that the fans did not come to Russia at all and all the matches will be held at the empty stands (((Those few who have arrived, have already been arrested and are sitting in terrible Putin prisons, they are mocked by Russian fans ((
Greetings from Russia, friends!))) I congratulate you on the beginning of the World Cup 2018! |
