Nope, not a single issue. It's hella smooth, and when I throw it in sport, it still shifts like an absolute animal. I've actually decided to finally throw ~30% e85 in it just to see what will happen. So far, more power, smoother curve, and still feels amazing

It's a nice car but his is brand new can't expect many issues with a new car. I'm looking at a 12-14 and was wondering ] what problems I'll run into with higher miles? I had an e92 (335 coupe) loved it but had to get rid of it before hpfp failed and all that good stuff. Replaced my cic through dealer and was pretty much done with the car after that. Will I experience those issues with an f30? I've looked around and don't see many people complain and reliability. Thanks
How many Onlinesbi sudoku incometaxindiaefiling 200,000 mile+ N52 owners do we have on this forum and how many N20 owners with failed timing chains, oil pump, oil pressure problems.. no way in hell. no N20 would ever outlast an N52 and thats the end of it.

^no doubt. N55 and N52 are far more reliable.

So I have a slight update. I'm at 163k miles and figured out that my turbo has rattle in it, so that needs to be replaced but still runs fine. I'll probably get a dinan or pure turbo upgrade since I'm already replacing it. Otherwise, still haven't seen any big problems with my N20. I must've got extremely lucky, because my 2012 hasn't even seen a timing chain issue.

im gonna chime in here.

This is not my car, but my ex wifes car that i bought it for her before we separated 3 years ago.

she had an e60/2004 525i and that thing was solid as a rock, at 160k miles.
now it came time, as she kept beating it up because shes a crappy owner and even worse driver, it was time for her to upgrade. I found this very clean 2012 F30 LUX PACKAGE. running the vin, had every single option except the rearview camera. very clean, had 42k on it, 2 keys, but it was a rebuilt title....but the owner had pics of the damage and it was all cosmetic no structire no actual accident no airbag depoy etc so it was great! had a new radiator and ac condensor and such (the damage was like someone ran over a high curb at high speed drunk AF) car drove straight like it was brand new. so we cut a deal, and in 2016 we paid 13900 out the door for it. in comparison at that time, lesser F30s with the same miles were going for 17-20k and comparable lux models at 19-23k with low miles...those numbers of course plus taxes, fees, etc. I paid 13,900 OUT THE DOOR INCLUSIVE of all fees taxes etc.

now its 2020. car is 8 years old, and NEVER maintained by me since she got it because we separated 5 months after we got it, other than one oil change i did 2 weeks before we split.

She has a hard lead foot, randomly forgets to turn off the auto start/stop, slams on the gas, and then when its time to stop then she slams on the brakes. shes a dope when it comes to paying attention to anything on her car, service intervals, etc. she barely washes it. she still has the car today, and it looks like crap. its embarassing shes hit a few things, etc. tires are shot and abused, so on. but....it runs solid, and has to have over 100k by now, and by my estimates it should be about 115k. considering she doesnt take care of it, beats on it without mercy, its held up with no major repairs at all. it even sounds exactly the same as the day i took delivery of it, it doesnt shake or anything like that, and id bet anything she gets crappy oil changes, and doesnt do them on time....because for 10 years i did oil changes on all of our cars at no more than 5000 miles and good oil, and everything else our cars needed BEFORE outright failures happened....and now she has to do stuff like that on her own...trust me...its not happening at all.

because of seeing how well hers has held up, and enjoyed the look and feel of the F30 when i found hers, i always wanted one. so with what i said above, if that car can survive her, its gotta be a pretty solid car overall. bmw has its lemons and issues, the F30 seems to be a generally solid vehicle and some bmw quirks aside, and considering i take care of my cars very well....im sure mine will be just fine for the next few years, especially if a neglected, abused, beaten on, not loved car is holding up mechanically just fine. plus, hers is the days of the timing chain concerns, where mine is not being a newer model with updated parts.

of course now hers was unmodified / tuned etc. so for a stock testimonial, here ya go. mine has 68k on it, and there is nothing concerning with mine and was bought at a bmw dealer with 65k on it, and had some dealer service records too.

My 2012 328i now has 178k miles on the N20. I've been running the car at 40% e85 and a stage 2 tune. Unfortunately, I may be retiring the car soon. Not from engine problems, the engine is still going strong, but from rear suspension issues that are unfortunately too costly to consider fixing. I'll definitely miss this car. It's served me well.

Hey still cheaper than a new(er) car What are you planning to replace it with?
