When will next gen F32 3-series coupe be out?

I am sure this has been talked about many times, and I have searched it with no real answers. When will the new 3 series coupe be out? i hear the 3 series will change MY 2012, so I assume that means end of 2011? So does that mean the coupe will be a model year 2013 arriving in 2012?

BMW normally runs on a seven year replacement cycle. So that would put the new 3-series out in 2012 as a 2013 model year. The coupe usually follows the sedan by a year, so you can expect a new coupe in 2013 as a 2014 MY.

There has been some discussion on forums about BMW moving this up a year to better compete in the market.

2011 335is  [0.00]
2009 E93 M3  [10.00]

Think it's less discussion and more happenstance.

Expect the F30/F32 a year sooner than normal.

well with that news, I guess maybe its smarter to lease the 2010 I just ordered and in 3 years replace it with a new car, instead of buying it, keeping it two years and then taking a huge hit.

Maybe, if you absolutely have to get the F30/32 immediately after it drops.

The new coupe won't be out for awhile.....I wouldn't wait. 3 years is a long ways off. Who the hell knows what's going to happen in 3 years. You might not even like the new 3. I love the e92 as is so I bought one.

Well if the 2011s are suppose to hit this coming March, doesn't that mean, the 2012s will be in March of 2011? I ordered a 2010 335 coupe the other day and I think the 2010s came out in November, is MY 2010 only getting a 4 month run?

Next generation coupes have generally went sale in Aug/Sept (July/Aug production). This has been true with the e46 coupe and the e92. So expect next generation coupes to go on sale Aug/Sept of 2012 at the earliest and possibly 2013 based on the 7 year cycle of the last two coupes.

e46 coupe began production in late summer 1999 as a 2000 model
e92 coupe began production in late summer 2006 as a 2007 model

I asked this question to a BMW sales rep when I brought my car in for a oil change a few weeks ago and he said the coupe would most likely come out in 2013.

2012 as a 2013? It is still a long ways off.

The sedan will be a MY 2012 coming out in fall 2011
The coupe will be a MY 2013 coming out in fall 2012

So the coupe is still about 3 yrs away.

My lease is up April 2013 so a fall 2012 release is prefect if I decide to lease out another 3 series coupe.

BMW also did the mid-model refresh in 2009, the 4tth year of the E9x. In the past BMW would wait for year 5. So the 6 year product life fits.

I wonder if they will keep the engine choices like they did with the 2006s - A new 3 series with the N54 engine?!? Or will they go directly to the new single turbo?
