F32 Xenon headlight coding after new module
Hi Guys,
To cut a long story short, I have a 2014 F32 with factory Xenons. Due to an accdent the right (driver's) headlight got pretty much destroyed. I bought a replacement headlight but it did not come with any modules. I managed to retrieve the modules from my smashed headlight and put them in the new light. Unfortunately when I turned the lights on, the Xenon worked but there was smoke from the slot in module. Later inspection showed it had suffered water damage while the car was stood waiting to be repaired. So I got hold of a new module from ebay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175323111337 - and fitted it all together. The Xenon is still working but I am getting no DRLs on that side and a warning for headlight aim adjustment not working on that side. ISTA gives me the following fault codes: 8041F0 Fault description Headlight driver module, right: Coding error Cause/trigger signal: Headlight driver module, right: Coding error 8041B6 Fault description The headlight beam throw adjustment function has failed There is a fault in the headlight beam throw adjustment system Is this something that can be 'coded' to work properly? And if so, how? Thanks! |
