Tow Bar / Rear Diffuser Question
Apologies in advance because this feels like a stupid question...
My 335 has a factory fitted towbar and I’m toying with the idea of fitting an aftermarket rear diffuser. Presumably the two are compatible? Assuming so, any recommendations on which aftermarket diffuser to go for? |

The BMW M Performance diffuser may end up touching the tow bar socket, as @jacksrath noted. This is the reason why it is officially incompatible with cars equipped with a tow bar. Some have however installed it successfully nevertheless, with a 1-2 mm clearance... but this is a gamble.

My copy spoiler fits fine with my electronic retractable tow bar. It really is just a few mm of clearance. If you put a £1 coin there it'd get squished but a 1p piece might just pass.

I have the BMW M Performance diffuser as well with the electric tow bar. As you can see on the pictures below, it barely touches the diffuser rib.
If I use it I think I will just stick some tape on the tow bar and diffuser rib to reduce scratches.
