Can't Code HU_NBT for 3AG

Hi guys,

i'm working on retrofitting a BMW rear camera on my f30 equipped with PDC 507 and Pro GPS 609 . Using oem kit 66 21 2 361 833 and a used module 6653 9282420 02 I connected wires following doc EBA 361831.

In ESYS I can't code HU_NBT with VO containing 3AG. By the past I already did VO code NBT adding 6NK without problem. If I add 3AG to activated VO I get an error when coding NBT... below extract of the log (partially masked VIN )

Of course I have only a black screen and on ISTA error saying "no FBAS connection".

Any help appreciated

Ok and check again fbas cable. Do you have NBT oder CIC? Where you put 3 cable

I did like I had NBT 21/23/24 according to https://www.bimmer-tech.net/blog/ite...cic-nbt-nbtevo mine looks like an NBT (complete red line), but how to be sure ? in ESYS tree only HU_NBT appears not CIC ?

That is ok you have NBT just check again if pin is inside like it should

The WDBI_Plain error happens most when there is something wrong with the VO.
So, please check again your VO.
It is best to load the original and unchanged VO.
Or you could try to remove the 6NK.
I also read of problems when the 698 is in the VO.

Take a newer psdzdata you are currently using 17-11 and use esys 3.34 or 3.33.4

I had the same issue once and the NBT needed to be flashed so that it could support 3AG.

Given that it's on BTLD1 and likely from an early 2012 vehicle, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try flashing it.

yes just take new psdzdata and replace esys you can install multiple version on your pc

Thanks to full psdzdata I have updated the HU_NBT to F020-21-03-520 but still can't code HU_NBT with 3AG, if I remove 3AG it works, I add only 3AG error...

Did you try without 6NK?
And if nothing works you can of course code the rear view camera by FDL Coding.

good idea but no success same error with 6NH & 3AG (was 6NH in the original VO)

will try FDL Coding now that NBT has been updated

So I tried to FDL code only camera related lines (without coding ECU of HU_NBT with 3AG) and it still doesn't work : default camera and black screen displayed instead of camera view

any help appreciated

I can't see it in your postings.
But did you also VO code the TRSVC (module 6653 9282420)?
Since you haven't written anything about it, I thought there was no problem with that.

Hi

No problem for TRSVC, coded with VO, in fact I succeded to code all modules with 6NK & 3AG except HU_NBT that gives the error....

If the TRSVC wouldn't be compatible, you couldn't have coded it either.
The TRSVC are all the same from 1 -7 series.
And that would not have caused any problems when coding the HU_NBT.

I think you should also code the FEM with the 3AG because there is a new connection..
My retrofit for the Rear view camera it's been a while, so I can't remember exactly which modules I had to code.
