Emergency Call Malfunction

Does anyone know where in the KOMBI FDL this can be disabled / coded out? BimmerTech was able to do it during my retrofit of the NBT Evo coding session, but after our last coding session 2TB wasn't added back to my VO. I re-coded 2TB VO and when I coded KOMBI the SOS Emergency Call Malfunction came back. Any help to clear this without bothering BimmerTech would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a NBT Evo retrofit from bmmertech and this system doesn't function after the retro. I know it needs to be coded out as they had to do it before. Was trying to figure out if anyone knows what FDL is associated with this.

I code FDL to get 2TB instead of VO coding. It shows dynamic stability traction error but goes off after restarting the car.

I got sos malfunction by other steps rather than 2TB coding.

I should have FDL code for Sport+ and SAT and I wouldn't have had to Code the KOMBI ECU. I think that wiped out something BimmerTech had coded to fix the SOS malfunction. Just wish I knew what it was. I know it's because it needs ot be coded out since it no longer functions since the retro.

I'm not sure what the Rad2 or Rurad file is. I couldn't find BMW_ASSIST_RAD2 or BMW_HOTLINE_RAD2, so I couldn't set to nicht_aktiv.

I did set both ST_ECAL_ALIVE and AT_ECAL_TIMEOUT in the KOMBI to nicht_aktiv and the Emergency Call Malfunction is still there.

Any other suggestions???

Hi all,

I am having the same issue about on CIC. The SOS Emergency Call malfunction error came out of no where, I did not code anything to get that error. I tried setting ST_ECAL_ALIVE and ST_ECAL_TIMEOUT to nicht_aktiv but the SOS malfunction error still does not go away.
I added a section TELD under HO-WORD and when I started to write the FA file, the process was successfully done.

Still the Emergency call malfunction error persists ? Any help would be appreciated

Same here, randomly popped up for me this past weekend. When I scan the trouble code for this it says telematik battery failure or something to that effect. Is there a module somewhere that has a replaceable battery and is responsible for making SOS calls in emergencies? Kinda makes sense that they would have this feature in case the actual car battery is dead, but for it to die already seems odd.
