Wheel and tire size question - 235/40/19 vs 245/40/19

Hello,

Currently have 18x8.0 M-sport wheels with 225/45/18 pirelli runflat tires.

Looking at buying the following:
19x8.5 wheels

Either 235/40/19 tires OR 245/40/19 tires

Current setup gives me 4 inches of sidewall and 26 inches of diameter
1) 235 is 3.7 inches of sidewall and 26.4 inches of diameter
2) 245 is 3.9 inches of sidewall and 26.7 inches of diameter

I am leaning toward 245 so I can have more sidewall for a better ride quality, more grip, and less wheel gap on stock xdrive, however I am concerned about the diameter increase.
I read here that you should not exceed 3% and this is cutting it close at 2.7% increase. Also I heard it will decrease my acceleration due to gearing change.

Which option would you recommend?

Thanks!

Honestly, i dont see the need to go up to the 245. I run a 235/45/18 (26.3") on 18s for the winter and it fills the wheel well just fine. I also run a 235/40/19 (26.4") on 19s for summer and i get asked quite often if i lowered the car.

Thanks all. I bought a set of 437m reps 8.5 square.

I wanted to do 235/40/19 but they don't sell the best tires in that combo. Neither Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ OR Continental DWS06

If I do 245/40/19 do you think that will be cause any rubbing or issues on stock xDrive suspension? It is 26.7 diameter as opposed to stock 26

Edit: The top rated UHP on CR is the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate and it comes in 235/40/19. It is rated better than the Michelin. Might just go that route.

245/40/19 does indeed rub

Update for anyone looking at similar sizes in the future:
Got Michelin AS3+ in 245/40 (26.7 inch diameter) They do indeed rub when turning the front wheels more than 80%. (stock adaptive xDrive suspension with et35 19x9.5)

235/40/19 is ideal but Michelin A/S3+ and DWS06 do not come in those sizes.

Will either exchange them for Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate (they offer 235/40) or exchange for Michelin PS4S and then buy a winter setup to compliment it.
