I have the same issue. I notice it more when backing up after a drive. I had issues on another car that turned out to be aftermarket brake pads. They were a bit to small and sliding in the caliper. I recently bought the car used and those parts are in good shape so I will wait for more wear.

This issue was never solved, despite countless of hours wasted at indy's and specialists. Nobody knows what it is and nearly all parts have been changed in the area and bolts inspected and tightened. Sound wasn't detected via microphones either, it's too generic to pinpoint what it is. A specialist said it does most likely come from the shock absorber area on the front left, but those are all new parts. The only parts that weren't swapped were the bottom arms and wishbone. Doing them next spring and seeing if that fixes it. If not, the sound is there permanently and part of the car. The only thing I can do is wait for someone else to encounter this problem and find a fix. |
