2014 328d, 241,000 KM, N47 engine

From what I remember, my car manufacture date was a little after BMW implemented whatever “fix” they had for the timing chain issue

Anyways, when I cold start the car, it sounds awfully similar to the same cold start in the youtube link below. Would you guys recommend me to get my timing chain replaced before it possibly snaps ? Or am I over thinking this. I just want to be safe and proactive for big jobs/issues like the timing chain

If you are hearing the rattle I would. I am listening closely to mine at 163k. I have thought about proactively changing it, but don't think I will without signs. When I did my VCG at 160k the chain seemed tight when I was checking it, but that is by no means a scientific test.
