I'm looking for a shop in the DMV area to install my lowering springs for my 328i xdrive. I listed the shops I found in the area. I wanted to know if anyone has recommendations or been to one of the listed shops.

Any recommendations on lowering springs for an xdrive would be appreciated as well. Thank u

Look in the thread below, I've posted quotes from some of the most well known shops in the area. The places that have given me the best quotes are Induktion, Luigi Motorsport, Pure Automotive. Expect to pay around 500 including alignment.

Would be really curious what they would say. They quoted me 1k for coilover install and alignment, which is insane.

Just talked to Kevin and he quoted me 900 for a spring install alone. Said it was more for Xdrive, which I don’t even think is true. Not trying to drag anyone’s name through the mud via the Internet, but that seems really high. Can anyone weigh in?

It's high according to prices in post #6.

I've been to AKTIV and wouldn't hesitate to go back provided the rates were competitive. They're only 15 minutes from me so I would prefer it actually.

But

You shouldn't be paying more than 550-600 max including alignment. I actually just got KWs installed at Induktion earlier this week. Plenty of reputable shops out there that do a lot of suspension work. Most of them have active IG accounts as well so you can check out the type of work they do regularly. Did you look at the thread below where I posted actual quotes from several local shops?

Mach V I know has a good rep from my Subaru days, but I've never been there.

If I remember correctly he quoted me $7xx, just for the spring install around the beginning of this summer. Prices might be going up...

Interesting... I can't find them on Yelp or Google but they do have a Facebook page. They're located in South Riding, VA (703) 699-7735.

Yes his rates have increased due to reduced business over the years. Trying to make it up somewhere.

I contacted AAG to see about a coilover install for my F30 and they quoted me $568 which i found reasonable.

Called Kevin at aktivauto - received the same price of ~800-850. He said the same thing about the price because my F30 is also an xDrive.

Induktion quoted me a slightly more reasonable $525 for my H&R sport spring install. Still a bit high for me though.. doesn't seem too difficult and I would expect somewhere around the $300-400 range would be a lot more reasonable.

Mach V is pricey IMO and don't really care about their customers. I stopped using them over 5 years ago.

Same, GT Peace does all the work on my car and so far I've been pleased with their work. From personal experience, I would stay away from F3 Auto.
