Scam Alert
3 users have contacted me regarding my WTB post, and have attempted to scam me by "only accepting zelle" for payments. I have done enough buying/selling stuff online to know the signs, but these guys were quite convincing. Someone more inexperienced could have easily lost hundreds. User names and phone numbers below.
**Never use Zelle for an online payment unless you know the other party** Darekr - 830-507-3857 Nlo96 - 541-371-2917 deebeemerman - actually used PMs on here and not a phone number. Was extremely convincing up until the copy/paste zelle payment request message. |

Darekr tried contacting me as well when I inquired about some wheels on Blessm's thread. Couldn't give me any information on said wheels and then stopped replying when I asked again. : Be careful out there. |

Darekr replied to a thread for Remus exhaust and I fell for it…
Good news is his account was flagged as fraud and they were able to stop the payment. I got lucky. Now that I know how not to buy something online… How do I go about buying something safely on here? Been a lurker for a while but don't really know how to safety buy through members classified |

Good post....there have been a few of those recently. Bottom line don't entertain offers unless it's the OP and always use PP G&S for pmt, funded by your cc.

Damn scammers! We get a lot of them over in the UK especially near Christmas time. Wasn’t long ago there’s crooks dressed up as a police officer going to the vulnerable people to scam them out of thousands from their savings, telling them that they found fraudulent activity in the bank that they need to withdraw all their money to hand it over for safe keeping.
