My gas tank is having some ventilation issues causing filling up to be a pain. The nozzle keeps clicking as though the tank is full, when it clearly is not.
Anyways I bought this part to fix that issue, and upon receiving it I realize I embarrassingly have not a clue where it goes. Is there any DIY on this? I've seen some saying it goes in the engine bay, some say its behind the passenger rear wheel well. Thanks. 2018 BMW 440i xDrive |

I was able to find a bit of information on this. As I understand, its easily found behind the passenger rear wheel well cover. Its also possible that the rubber near the tank filler nozzle is collapsed on itself in some way or another. I'm not too sure what that means, but I'm guessing you can poke around it and see if you remove that cover and look up.
Sorry that's all inconclusive but I'll put together a guide when I get around to doing the work. |
