Oil leak, right side below the turbo, upper pan area.
Approaching 200K. Had the oil pan and valve cover gasket changed at 137K or so now I see this new leak. Turbo lines? What does the forum think?

Best to work from the top down. Rule out a cracked valve cover or gasket.
Oil pan gasket should be fine.

Valve cover gasket and valve cover are fine (Replaced the valve cover when I did the valve cover gasket and oil pan gaskets at 137K miles around five years ago) and the oil seems to be coming from the mid pan or oil reuturn line from the turbo. I have to ge under the trace it better. What is that little pin looking thing middle of the photo? Does anyone know? This is right below the engine mount on the right. The car does seem to be going low on oil sonner than normal (6 to 7K use to be the norm to now around 4 to 5K is where is starts to show below the full line) so the leak is enough for that. I change the oil between 5K and 7.5K depending on the driving I am doing. |
