N47 Oil Filter Housing Leak
Hi all,
I have a LCI 328d (US) and noticed oil / diesel blowby collecting on the turbo inlet pipe (which is aftermarket, AFE). The dealer took a look at it and claims that it is coming from the oil filter housing - which per my understanding is on the opposite side of the motor. What are your thoughts on this assessment? I can attach pictures within the next day or so. Thanks! |

Yeah oil filter housing is on the other side 100%. BTW the couple times I've had the intake off I have had oil on the turbo inlet. For better or worse I've ignored it.

Had a similar problem before. See this thread: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1850867
TL;DR: crankcase pressure out of spec. Replace either the entire valve cover or just the diaphragm.
