I didn't read all of the posts, so I don't know if this was covered.
The S4 is going to launch better than the 335i, as the S4 is AWD. If you need more interior space and bigger boot, I would go with the S4. On the brightside, it would be easier to tune a 335i with a turbo than an S4 |

I have a hard time comparing a regular F30 interior to a S4. The S4 having alcantara inserts, carbon fiber trim, bigger bolstered seats, better steering wheel. The materials just look more quality. But a base A4 is a different story. |

I've been thru 5 bimmers in the past 12 years but if I had a choice right now between the f30 335 or the S4, I'm pretty sure I'd choose the S4 regardless of carbon issues, MMI etc.
Now the F30 with Mpkg might sway me a little because aesthetics's wise it's better than the S4 but in the Real World (& 4 seasons) a 335i with no mechanical differential is not in the same class as an S4 regardless what Autobild tells me after driving it around the track over the course of few hours. |

But, +1 to Robin. I much prefer the F30 look, both inside and out to A4/S4 and actually think the look of the Audi front end regressed with the LCI. But, like others, I think BMW could have done a better job with the hood line, though it seems it was done primarily to reduce repair (and insurance) costs for front end damage. Maybe they'll change that in the F80 M3 to differentiate since overall build numbers will be a lot lower and less cost sensitive. |

Plenty of tunes for the N55. The potential isn't there like the N54. With similar mods, the N54 is putting down more power.

Also of note-- BMW is trying to separate out that term, "Luxury Sports Sedan" as evidenced by their lines (luxury, sport, modern lines). Since I opted for the "sports" line, I consider my f30 more of a sports car than a luxury car. Obviously, it's more luxurious than a Honda or Toyota but predominately, my first thoughts about my car is that it's a sports car. So to me, that semi-justifies the red stripe. If I opted for the luxury line, that red stripe wouldn't EVER come in the equation. Quote:

I also ordered the silver with red and I love it but then again I just turn 30! getting old but not ready to be old just yet. I also see BMW more as a sport brand, hence the hard suspension and stiff steering. Isnt this BMW's vision as well? I would hope since they offer thing like performance centre delivery and M performance school.

I think Audi's navigation system was designed by the developers of the Sega Genesis. Don't get me wrong, I loved NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat on the Sega, but the new iDrive in the F30 blows that sucker away!
The overall interior experience of the new 3-series is first rate. I parked the F30 next to the E90 at the dealership and went from interior to interior. The updates BMW made are impressive. |

What does that have to do with the Audi's looks? All I'm saying is that I prefer the BMW's sculpted lines and aggressive styling over the Audi's boring flat lines which are reminiscent of a VW.

The point is that there is no relationship between any VW and the A4/S4 other than they are jointly owned.

I just ordered a 2013 s4 so im partial to that in the competition. After driving both the s4 and 335 back to back, they feel very similar. On a track im sure they feel very different but on the streets theyre very similar. imo u cant loose with either one!

Speaking of which, I see that the F30 has the classic door unlock button in between the vents on the center dash. I never understood the reason for that.

It's really irritating that this switch is not in the door panel with the rest of the door & window switchgear. |
