Can i get a custom tune on a jb4?

Im currently running map 2 on my jb4 with a catless turboback exhaust and while the power increase over stock is nice i would like to make a bit more hp. So my question is about if it's possible to get a custom tune using the jb4? Thanks for any help.

Have you tried map 5 yet? Map 6 is for a custom map, but its still limited vs a custom flash tune.

No guarantee that a custom tune will make more power. That all depend on your octane. Post a log in N54tech.com and get advise.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ok so map 6 is the map that would be used if i took it to a shop that does custom dyno tunes correct? Also what are some of the limitations between a custom dyno tune through the jb4 verses a flash tune? Sorry if these are basic questions but im new to modding BMW's as i come from the Subaru side. Thanks again.

you have a lot of reading to do....I'd head over to n54tech.com (covers n55 and much more as well). You will learn a lot. In the meantime try map 5 with a little ethanol and send it. Or consider BEF with MHD.

Also, you ideally should be using a DP with map 2 to realize the benefits and keep it safe.

Yes you can get a custom map on the Jb4, and its usually free
