I think I would probably get v1 instead of v2.
V2's turn sequential turn signal looks so disjointed to me where inner turns off way too early. But the extra detail on each scale is pretty cool.

In my experience, whoever you get these from are usually just resellers and only one or a handful actually manufacture them. I believe VLAND is one of them and I got one from this seller (https://www.ebay.com/itm/403007310641) for $366 ish.
Came perfect, everything fits great and installed super easily, except for inner tail lights. I didn't realize I had to squish the foams along the outside of inner lights so much but it makes sense since you want to create a tight seal along the light to prevent water from getting in, so that actually gave me comfort. I actually got the V2, and it looks like maybe there's an updated version of the V2? Because the turn signal doesn't look disjointed like in some of the earlier Chinese videos I've seen.

Hey quick question, does it make a difference if your original tails have the indicator to the top of the inner trunklid lights? I am looking at picking up a set of the red as well but wanted to make sure as my vehicle is a pre-LCI 2012 unit.

Just popping in to ask some questions. My brother just got a set, but didn't realize that the wires had to be run to the trunklid. The biggest issue is that he has a 435GC so it has a hatch instead of a trunk. I video called him last night and it looks like a mega pain to get to the rubber harnesses that go into the trunk.
Has anyone here done this on a GC? It looks like you have to rip the entire back apart and even drop the headliner to get the wires up and through. If he doesn't connect those two pigtails is it just the brake lighting up, or it'll affect the LED sequence as well? His car would be a pre-lci version. |

Yes both the light up sequence and brake lights will be effected and won’t work, if you do not connect the inner and outer lights, think it might be better and less stressful option to ask a local fitter to fit the inner light for him, seems a lot of work on the F36 |

Yes the problem is not knowing of good body guys. I told him to talk to his local mechanic to give it a run for it since I know it's beyond his DIY skill... I told him it looked like a HUGE headache that even myself would probably take an hour or two to get enough pieces right and fish that wire through Thanks for the confirmation that the tail light function won't be so great.
