Can someone recommend for H7 LED bulbs?

I have now stock H7 halogen bulbs on my f30.
Until i will buy a new led headlights, i will start with LED bulbs.

Any recommendations?
Coding ia not a problem for me (Bimmercode).

I really liked the Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 bulbs on my pre LCI halogens. Direct fit without adapters and super bright/white light. That being said, I was never flashed for dazzling oncoming traffic. Being slightly lowered probably helped.

If I was in the market for them today I'd get these:
https://www.amazon.com/BEAMTECH-H7-L...219508&sr=8-46

Is Horizon LED still in business? Over the last 3 weeks I have sent several emails asking for specific product recommendations, since they have several LED bulbs for each application...H7 &H8. No response.

I have Beamtechs in my daughter's Subaru and other than icing issues during winter storms, they're great. I'm looking into the Morimoto 2Strokes which solves this issue.

How are they icing? I've never had that happen.

this one has heat sink on bottom, will the heat cause any melt inside the housing?

thanks.

All LED bulbs have heatsinks. Some even have fans to increase their effectiveness, but fans tend to fail, and they're only used on LEDs than are brighter than necessary. Fanless LEDs are at least three times brighter than halogen.

It’s not really icing but during heavy snowstorms snow starts to stick over her Subaru Impreza headlights when using the Beamtechs. The assembly doesn’t get warm enough to melt unless she turns on her (halogen) highbeams. It only happened a few times last winter.

It looks like the morimotos fan some heat back into the housing which would keep the assembly warm.

I doubt that the Morimotos will be any help there. Halogens create heat when lit, a lot of it. Some 90% of the current in halogens, or any incandescent bulb, is lost as heat. That means a 55w H7 is a 50 watt heat source, with most of that being infra-red radiation. That's what heats the lamp lens. Some 80% of the current is lost as heat with LEDs, but it doesn't amount to much, as they only drop around 15 watts total, and produce almost no infra-red. The fan cooling is only there to prevent damage to the LED, which suffer from reduced output if they overheat.

I coat my lenses with Jescar Power Lock, the same as I do the rest of the car. They shed water, and judging by my lack of snow build up they shed snow as well.

If you want one to burn out, yes. Thats what happened to me which is why I went with the Morimotos which are worlds better in terms of quality.

Check the dates from my eBay purchases page. Within 6 months one of my Beamtech's burnt out. Junk!

Forgot to mention… the Morimoto's use genuine CREE XHP50 LED chips. Wonder what Beamtech is using?

I believe that I already did.

You can get made in China Beamtechs, or brands with Japanese or German sounding names that are also made in China. The Broview branded LEDs that I have were also sold under the Weisslicht brand, at three times the price. A little investigation reveals that there is no Weisslicht factory. Caveat Emptor.

If you have HID xenon there's no point in going to LED, if you could, which you can't, because they don't make LED bulbs that fit into HID xenon lamps.

Yeah I'll second the morimoto's, I'm running them now. They aren't cheap but quality.

Make sure you buy them from their website if you do, that's the only way they will honor the warranty.

They're probably OK, but despite the company taking the name of a well known Japanese chef for instant brand name recognition it's still Chinese stuff made by CNLight. Like Smokey Robinson's mamma told him you better shop around.

Sorry, a bit off topic, but anyone retrofit angel eyes into their halogens?

I found this https://www.bavgruppedesign.com/prod...en-headlights/

Really liking the look of the eyebrow light, the angel eyes are so so.

Pulling the lens from the lamp isn't easy.

Ive been running the Hikari UltraFocus for 4 years. They are great. Huge improvement over stock halogen.
