Reviving this thread again as I’m thinking of a quality catted downpipe for my 340i.

Does anyone with a flash tune or an upgraded HPFP have this downpipe? I’m wondering how well the catalytic converter is holding up with respect to heat with moderate/MPPSK burble (clogging?) or if a CEL is popping up with the additional fueling.

Are there any safety issues using this downpipe without a tune?

I'm not sure what you mean by safety issues so I would say no.
However you will get a little bit more power so all rotating parts will wear out slightly faster, if that's what you mean?

Thanks. I mean, I know with Subarus you shouldn't do a downpipe before tuning because it'll lean out at full boost. Was wondering if that could happen on the B58.

Where are you guys getting your labor quotes?
I live in portland, OR and asked around for dp installation cost. They all quoted me around $800. I wanted to get one but scared away by the high labor cost.

800? I went to an ordinary exhaust shop, not a BMW one. Less than $150 including tax. About an hour and a half and mine is xDrive. Was about the same cost to install my catback as well.
