330D service intervals
I recently picked up a 2014 330D. The car has almost done 50,000 miles and the previous owner serviced the car at around 46,000 at unknown to me garage (handwritten receipt provided of the services carried out). The garage that serviced the car restarted service intervals for the work that was carried out, however, none of that work was recorded in the iDrive or in the AOS Portal.
After picking the car up, I found out the car is covered by BMW Service Inclusive which lasts for 5 years or 60,000 miles. I've got the car booked in for EGR inspection in December and ideally, I would like to get the car serviced by BMW before it's 5 years old (that will be in January) so when the car is in for EGR it would be ideal to get it serviced at the same time. Do you think BMW will agree to service it under the service pack even if none of the service items will be due for a service because of being reset by another garage? |

Ok at least it's got something then. How long ago was it carried out? If it was less than 2 years ago it's within the service interval anyway and they may do it and your iDrive would be up to date. If they won't do it as part of the pack I'd consider getting it done anyway.

Ok, well if you can find a reasonably priced oil service at a BMW specialist who has the ability to update the info on the idrive for you I'd get it done, the idrive service history will be complete then to dealer service intervals since your car has done 18k miles since the last recorded Service and it's less than 2 years ago.

funnily enough my service light has come on saying i need an oil service in 8000 miles. My car is a 2018 330D that has only done 9000 miles. I figure under current driving habits it will take another 4 years before I need the service! so much for adaptive servicing!

I'm just after buying a 330d and it hadn't had an oil cha GE since 28k miles, it's on 47 now and it's saying 9k before another service? Seems a bit excessive no? Should these cars not be done at least every 15k?

2 years max, around 18k miles but this varies due to condition based servicing.
