Shop recommendations for tune ups? SF Bay Area
Hello all!
Long time no see. I've been super inundated with life and all and have been neglecting my car. I am coming up to 80k and wanted to do a complete re-fresh. So spark plugs, air filters, all fluids, brake rotors, pads, lines. What else should I consider? I am really looking for a shop that can do all of that in 1 place that is trusted and is known for handling our cars. I don't mind spending the money if it means it is rightly done and I can begin enjoying my car without reservation. Please let me know if you have any recommendations in the Bay Area.. preferably close to San Francisco. Thanks all!

Not really close as you'd like but I usually take my car to VT Motorworks in Pleasanton, they do good work and reasonable prices. Mod friendly too. Take my ride there for all services since warranty ended.

Not a BMW-only shop, but Akin's Auto in San Jose helped me out on short order with a wheel bearing replacement and has done a bunch of work for a friend's E91. Seems like a well run, straightforward shop. Aydin is the BMW expert.

German Auto Sport in Berkeley is who I recommend my customers to. Chris (the owner) is a long time customer of ours and is always attending technical classes that I attend to as vendor. He is always trying to improve his knowledge in his field and to me, that says a lot.

If Berkeley isn't too far for you check out Griffin Motorwerke. They're German car specialists, and big supporters of local car clubs (they're one of the main supporters of the local Audi club chapter). I've hung out with them at the track a good amount and seen them in action helping people get their track cars back up and running in the paddock.
