2017 BMW 330i

I have currently been searching for possible upgrades for my 330i. Although I can find some parts for it when it comes to bigger upgrades for more power it seems there isnt much due to the b46 being a relatively newer engine. Upgrading my car is something I will surely do. I have been considering selling it to buy something else that may be easier to do this to. Please help me and give tips as to what I should do in this situation.

These engines don't have much tuning potential, 290-300 hp is all they can safely handle. If you need more power, 340i would be much more reliable option.

In my understanding it is: b48 and b46 are basically the same engine, b46 just has more strict emission control.

So a bm3 stage 2 on a b48 is stretching to around 290?

Something around this number, yes. According to their webpage, stage 2 provides up to 18% of power on 93 octane and up to 22% on E30 for 30i engines. As stock 30i has 252 hp, stage 2 will result in 298 and 307 accordingly.

The engine will be absolutely ok: there are plenty of 20i remapped to 30i to get exactly 250 hp, no problems with this setup if you use premium octane.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about hybrid system in 330e, those were never sold in my country.

Considering doing the same to my 330e. Was thinking of 330-340 bhp with an additional 100lb/ft of torque. A tuner I spoke to recommended remapping the gearbox at the same to to increase clutch/clamping pressure. I'm sure the shift times will be reduced also.

Is the extra remap really necessary? I think the standard trans can easily handle ~330hp 500 nm before its needed to be modded

Trade it in for the new ///M340. Car is a beast. You won't regret it.

I think it would be safer to map the box than leave it standard. If the clutches started to slip and cause damage, cost of replacing a 330e gearbox would be crazy as it also contains the electric motor.
