F30 Display stuck at BMW logo

Hey, so recently I started observing my HUD showing no signal it use to work randomly but not its stuck at BMW logo, I had aftermarket display I got new thinking that could be an issue but not.
The last option would be getting a new CD player unit but I'm wondering if thats a softwares related issues and if I can do it by myself.
Not sure if there's any way to diagnose if the cd player have hardware or software issues.

Any help will be appreciated as I can't reset my tire pressure sensors from a month. :

Your picture is the iDrive screen, not HUD. Failure to get past the BMW logo usually means a bad hard drive. It has nothing to do the the CD transport. The usual fix is a new or used head unit.

Some of these head units with stuck logo get fixed by a software update (not the one you can do yourself from usb stick). I have seen several cases in local bmw forums. Dealership may not know / admit that is the case and want to sell you a new head unit. Try to find an independent bmw specialist nearby.

Like Zeikel mentioned, contact a local BMW independent garage, they will have the tools and software to reprogram it and fix the issue if it is hardware related.

You can get a new hard drive and format it so it's compatible with the head unit but it's not an easy task if you're not tech savvy.

I don’t think resetting would be an issue, Re installing the software would be.

The software won't need reinstalled it runs on the firmware. You would however based on my understanding have to restore folders such as your map data, gracenote data etc from the old drive to the new drive. I've never done it before but that's what I got from other threads.
