UPDATE: SOLD.

For sale; Steinbauer tuning box for 320d/420d N47 engine, which I believe are the same manufacturer for AC Schnitzer tuning box. I'm selling because I have now sold the car.

From what I've experienced, it's one of the safest, if not the most, and the smoothest 20-25% power gain delivery using a tuning box for a diesel car. It certainly transformed my 420d, going from 180hp to about 220hp.

Bought for almost £900 and looking for around £450. Can be posted or collected from central/east London. Thanks

You should be able to put it back to stock from the same place you got the remap?

How hard is it to fit the box mate? From what I've read, they are a pain to fit in comparison to say, Bluespark?

It's more involved than bluespark, but not that hard. You need to connect to the fuel injectors, which is under the engine cover and the exhaust temp sensor, which is on the side of the engine. These are all accessible without any tools.

I was also considering getting bluespark when I got this, but went with steinbauer box instead for the way it delivers the power increase.

Had Steinbauer on my 330d, while not the same engine they are very good at what they do. They don't confuse the system they work with it and deliver the power in the same way as BMW intended... but a lot more of it both torque and BHP.

At this price it is an absolute bargain guys. GLWTS.
