Paddle retrofit from an f32 coupe

Hello,

I have been wanting to get paddle shifters in my f30 328i for a while but it just seemed so expensive and unattainable. I just found a f32 428i steering wheel with paddle shifters, the wheel looks to be the same as mine but it is missing an airbag.

My question is can I use the paddles off of the f32 wheel in my f30 without any issues. I know that I will need to code it to my car but function wise will it work?

Thanks in advance

Functionally it's a direct swap I believe! Just needs a lot of supporting hardware and wiring + coding... it's a long process, there's a ton of threads out there on it I think.

compared to most mods, it's like a 7.5-8 out of 10. that's why I just looked for a model with paddles already.

You will need to check if your car is pre-wired by either checking the FEM or Steering column. Much have been written about it. In terms of difficulty, I call it a 3 out of 10. Coding can be done with Bimmercode (1-2 setting only). Since you have a steering wheel, you don't need to drill either.
