How much Oil do I put in my 2014 428i xdrive?
Sorry for the very noob question but the manual only says use "SAE 5W-30" but doesn't state the amount I should put in.

Assuming that the engine is the exact same configuration as that found in the 328i, it will be exactly 5 quarts, 10 ounces for the RWD model; 5 quarts, 3 ounces for Xdrive. Xdrive models have a more shallow oil pan to make room for the front diff/axle assembly, hence the reduced capacity. I have a cheapy measuring cup I bought from Wally World to add the last 10oz. When I run the oil check function after I’m done, the level is spot on.
