Someone posted this link on the other bmw forum. It is the old configurator but it has the 2018 model. |

Yes it's Barons in Farnborough. It was parked right outside the front door, so I reckon it's going to be a demo or showroom car. This was last Saturday (25th) so if you're passing this weekend it might be worth popping in.

The weirdest conflict is between:
19" M Orbit Grey Double-Spoke Wheels Style 704 M with Mixed Performance Tires and Adaptive Cruise Control. You can pick: 19" M Ferric Grey Double-Spoke Wheels Style 704 M with Mixed Performance Tires and Adaptive Cruise Control No biggie, the ferric grey probably looks better, just bizarre.

Or is it a deal breaker not having the color you wanted?

My error it was M Sport AND Track Pack that made created the problem. I'm purely ordering M Sport.

I had a similar problem when ordering mine, we figured out it was some of the wheel options that wouldn't allow M Sport and Track. We went with the 704M wheels as the newer wheel options were not yet available and the tool freaked out when selecting them.

I don't get why BMW shows off their new LCI with the new LEDs and fog lights, and with the HUD and digital dash when you can't even spec a car like that. I'll explain.
On the Canadian Ordering guide it says "2NH will delete 5A1 from the order" which means the M sport breaks part of the M Perf Pack will delete the fog lights, and for USA ordering guide it says "ZTR and ZMP will delete STD or 100% equipment 5A1" which means Track Pack and M Perf Pack will delete fog lights. Easy to understand after a bit of research, the reason for the delete is because there's added cooling for the breaks and whatnot. Fair enough, by why on every press picture from Geneva or BMW, it shows the cars having the M sport breaks, LEDs and the fog lights. I'm confused and don't understand why BMW show the car like that if when you try to order those options, one ends up deleted or is blocked off because of another option that is otherwise paired together on the press pictures Then there's the digital dash. The dealership couldn't guarantee me that I would get it if I took the enhanced pack because of complication with the HUD, which is part of the enhanced pack (so really am I getting an enhanced pack or just a partially enhanced pack??). So now I'm stuck with either choosing the essential pack which doesn't have the HK sound system and won't let me choose the LED Icon headlights as an option, OR choosing the enhanced pack which is more expensive but at least I get the HK system, but then I need to pick between the digital dash and no HUD or I get the HUD but no digi dash (really both should be in there which is mainly a reason why you pay extra for an "enhanced pack"). Oh and then I pretty much need to add the Icon LED option since there's the fog delete and the car looks way better with them. So ya a little disappointed and not sure what to pick now...would love to see some in person pictures of the car before making a decision. |

i think you are able to keep the fogs in other countries even with the msport brakes. it was mentioned in another thread.
edit: here's some discussion. there may be more info elsewhere. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1024409 |

So, I'm a bit pissed off at my local dealership...My new LCI 440xi is on the boat and should be here in three weeks...I get a call today to find out that the port installed options (M Performance Power and Sound, carbon wing, carbon interior and carbon exhaust tips) are no longer port installed. They go on to say, I have two options:
1) If I want to include it in the price of the car, sales has to purchase them and have service install them which is going to be at least 20% mark up. 2) I have to purchase the parts myself and pay service to install them (or install all but the MPPP package myself since I cant flash the car myself). Either way, this is going to cost extra money now after I've already ordered it. If I wasn't such an enthusiast, I'd be going to another brand. Ok, my rant aside, anyone out there have real knowledge or advice about this?

Boy, their policies like this and the elimination of free maintenance is diminishing my opinion of their brand.
