Can this be vinyl wrapped?

I have a 328i base model and I can't stand the centerpiece window trim, which is matte black. Not sure the exact word for it, but the picture shows what I'm referencing.

Can this be removed? I'd like to wrap in gloss black vinyl

Please think about your question for a moment...If entire cars can be wrapped, then don't you think a B pillar can be wrapped too???

They can, I wrapped mine with CF vinyl. If yours are the same as those on my F34 they're held in place with double sided tape, so they will pry off using plastic trim removal wedges, starting at the bottom. Stick them back in place again with 3M double sided tape:

Not suggesting but to support that it's possible and common, eBay has lots of vendors selling ready-cut vinyl and stickers:

Stickers don't wrap around the back of the trim, so they'll peel.

There are vinyl wrap video on youtube.

I know for sure it can be remove there are screw probably like the old e90. We did replace one on an e90 before and it has 3 screws under the rubber seals.

The best probably is vinyl wrap but be careful with that exacto knife. Just have to use a squeegee to wrap it around the corner.

I have a gloss black B pillar on my F36 and I wish it was real glass or real carbon fiber. Gloss black shows every little swirl marks.

Having to polish them every three months to get rid of the spider webbing is why I wrapped mine with textured CF.

Is it that bad? I was assuming it wouldn't swirl as long as I continued with my normal wash routine (hand wash only). Though I'm assuming you do the same, so maybe the swirls are inevitable.

They swirl really badly, because the plastic they're made of is relatively soft. It's not swirling from being washed. I always wipe in one direction, and I don't get spider webbing on my paint. It seems to me that they swirl from the combination of dust in the air and turbulence.

I had a 2018 F150 that had the gloss black plastic B pillars. It was horrible. I needed to wax them weekly to hide the swirls that came up.

You could take these off, sand them smoother than they are, use a high build primer, sand some more, then paint and clear them. That would hold up better than the black plastic or gloss black vinyl.

I pulled the trigger and bought some 1080. Will post an update once I apply it. I don't mind having to buff out small scratches if It means no more cheap matte look

Piano black on any surface inside or outside a vehicle is a BAD idea. Piano black only belongs on a piano!

Same on my F30. Gloss black with tons of tiny scratches and swirls. Was like that when I bought it CPO, but I figured I'm stuck with it because its a soft plastic/vinyl type material.
